A subsidiary of the ENGIE Group, Storengy is a leading operator in underground natural gas storage and a pioneer in renewable energy solutions such as hydrogen and biomethane. With 14 sites across France, the company is undertaking a large-scale digital transformation to improve asset reliability, strengthen traceability and simplify the daily work of its maintenance teams.
Following a successful first collaboration with HRC Consulting in 2024 on the digitalisation of stock withdrawals, Storengy engaged our teams once again to design and deploy mobile maintenance applications for SAP S/4HANA using the Neptune Software platform.
Developed using an agile methodology, the solution now covers the full maintenance lifecycle:
Every screen was co-designed with key users to ensure strong adoption on the shop floor. The priority was clarity, speed and offline robustness so technicians can work efficiently regardless of network availability.
Led by the Storengy Maintenance Department, the project brought together a cross-functional HRC–Storengy team: business experts, functional analysts, SAP PM specialists, developers, architects and site representatives. Workshops were conducted on several sites to reflect actual field constraints.
In only six months, eight applications were delivered to production. The success relied on:
After years of mixed experiences with mobility tools, technician engagement had weakened. The new solution rebuilt trust by delivering an interface that is simple, intuitive and aligned with real operational needs.
Storengy now benefits from:
The next release will include an AI-based assistant to support field data entry and further accelerate technician productivity.
